Argen Manufacturing PPE Products in the Fight Against COVID-19

The Argen team is manufacturing #PPE products to help protect front line workers and fill gaps in the shortage of test kits. The need is monumental and Argen believes every contribution makes a difference. We converted a portion of our 3D printing operation to support this effort and we are #3DPrinting swabs for test kits.

The nasal swabs (nasopharyngeal swabs) have a unique 3D printed lattice structure designed and printed with Carbon Technology. When these designs are combined with the material properties, they make an ideal swab for test kits - specimen collection efficiency with a design that is flexible to promote functionality and comfort for patients. Carbon worked with clinicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and Stanford Medicine to evaluate the swabs. Argen has teamed with a medical device manufacturer to supply swabs to test for #COVID19.
